Honey Stung Crispy Tofu

 
 

It’s that time of year where people get the itch to refresh and maybe even test out a plant-based of flexitarian diet. If that’s you, don’t skimp on flavor! This crispy tofu bowl is easy to make, has great texture and our Honey Stung Sauce brings the perfect zing of sweet and spicy.

Ingredients:          

1 lb package Tofu, cut into 1” cubes

1/2 cup Corn Starch

Salt to taste

Rice, cooked (or any grain)

1 bunch Greens (Kale, Spinach, Mustard Greens all work great)

2 cloves Garlic, sliced

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Toss tofu cubes in cornstarch and salt. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet and bake until crispy, about 30 minutes. At 15 minutes, flip tofu cubes and return to oven.

  3. While to tofu is baking, sauté garlic and greens until wilted. Season with salt to taste.

  4. Cook grain.

  5. Serve tofu over grain with sautéed greens and a hearty drizzle of Honey Stung Sauce to bring it all together.
