Ingredients:
1 Cup Sourdough starter discard, unfed
2 Tablespoons Melted butter or Olive oil
1/2 Cup Flour (Use any flour or meal of your choice!)
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 Tablespoon, divided Beachfront Foods Caribbean Jerk Spice
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350ºF .
Combine sourdough starter, oil, flour, salt and 1/2 tablespoon of Beachfront Foods Caribbean Jerk Spice in a bowl. Once combined, you can move on to step 3 or store in your fridge until you are ready to bake. This longer fermentation will produce a cracker with more of a sour flavor.
Dust a piece of parchment paper with flour and roll out the cracker dough as thin as possible. The rectangle should be dimensions that fit onto a sheet pan.
Dust the sheet of cracker dough with remaining 1/2 tablespoons of Beachfront Foods Caribbean Jerk Spice. Using your rolling pin, roll of the cracker dough one more time, to press the jerk seasoning into the dough.
Transfer the sheet of dough, still on parchment paper, onto a sheet pan.
Using a pizza cutter or paring knife, score the sheet of cracker dough into desired cracker size.
Bake until crispy, about 12-18 minutes, depending on thickness of crackers. Rotate halfway through the baking time.
Allow to cool and then break apart the scored crackers. Store in an airtight jar of container for up to a week.
